Anti-snipe Auction Feature

The anti-snipe period that prevents bidder trying to place high bid at the last second

This mechanism will ensure interested bidders can place a bid for the auction that they are after without worrying about the end time. If any new bid is placed within the last 10 minutes of the auction closing time, will extend the auction by 10 minutes.

Examples:

• The auction closing time is at 5:00 pm

  • Bidder A placed a bid at 4:58 pm then the auction will extend to 10 minutes. The auction's new closing time now is 5:10 p.m.

  • Bidder B placed a higher bid at 4.59 pm, this bid won't extend the auction to another 10 minutes as it's not within anti-snipe period (10 minutes) 5:00 pm - 5:10 p.m.

  • Bidder C placed a higher bid at 5:08 pm, anti-snipe will trigger an auction will be extended to another 10 minutes. The auction's new closing time now is 5:20 p.m.
