Creating Memes with the Meme Maker

Step 1: Understanding the Meme Maker Interface

When you open the Meme Maker, you’ll see a range of tools on the left and top of your screen. Here’s a quick rundown of what each tool does:

  • Left Panel: Meme Elements

  • Add: As a Metaverse Owner you can add categories and elements to your Meme Customizer, giving your users more flexibility to create memes with topic-specific tailored items. If you are not a Metaverse Owner and would like to upload your custom items for the creation of your meme, you can use the upload items function highlighted in the Top Panel Section: Meme Tool Icons.

  • Available Default Items: Eyes, Mouths, Hats, Clothes, Mustaches, Coins, Backgrounds, Olympics: These categories offer pre-made assets that you can select and position the desired location of the background image for your meme. Once added, you can resize, reposition, rotate and layer them as needed.

Top Panel: Meme Tool Icons

  1. Selection: Use this tool to select and manipulate elements on your canvas.

  2. Rectangle Shape: Add rectangular shapes to your meme with customizable options.

  3. Triangle Shape: Add triangles to your design with customizable options.

  4. Circle Shape: Insert circles or ovals to your meme with customizable options.

  5. Line Shape: Draw straight lines to highlight or separate sections on your meme.

  6. Arrow Shape: Add arrows to direct attention to certain parts of your meme.

  7. Drawing Tool: Freehand draw on your meme using this tool.

  8. Text: Add captions or any other text to your meme. You can customize the font, size, color, and alignment.

  9. Upload Image: Upload your images or assets to take your creativity to the next level.

  10. Eraser: Erase parts of drawn elements or other custom additions.

Customizer Sub-Menu (Appears After Adding a Shape or Text)

  • Customizer: This section includes several customization options:

    • Stroke Color Selector: Choose the outline color for your shapes or text.

    • Fill Color Selector: Select the fill color for your shapes.

    • Stroke Width Selector: Adjust the thickness of the outline.

    • Stroke Style Selector: Choose between solid, dashed, or dotted outlines.

    • Font Size: Adjust the size of your text.

    • Font Family: Select from 3 different fonts to match your meme’s style.

    • Text Alignment: Align text to the left, center, or right.

    • Opacity: Adjust the transparency of elements.

    • Depth Layers: Control which elements appear in front or behind others.

  • Flip Horizontal: Flip the selected element from left to right.

  • Flip Vertical: Flip the selected element upside down.

  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the selected element.

  • Delete: Remove the selected element from your canvas.

AI-Generate

  • Generate Meme with AI: This exciting feature is coming soon! Stay tuned for the ability to automatically generate memes with the help of AI.

Step 2: Creating Your Meme

A) Start with a Background:

  • Choose a background from the available options or upload your own image to set the stage for your meme.

B) Upload Your Own Images:

  • If you have specific images you want to use, click on Upload Items (after setting a background) to bring them into your meme.

C) Add and Customize Elements:

  • Select, drag, and locate elements like eyes, mouths, and hats from the left panel onto your canvas.

  • Use the top panel tools to customize these elements. For example:

    • Use Text to add a funny caption.

    • Use Color to change the text color or shape colors.

    • Apply Filters or adjust Transparency to blend images creatively.

    • Manage Layers to ensure the right elements are in front or behind others.

    • Use Draw to add custom doodles or lines.

    • Flip elements if they look better facing a different direction.

Skew Tool (Located at the Bottom Panel)

  • Skew: This slider allows you to skew the selected object, changing its perspective to better match the background or other elements in your meme. Simply move the slider left or right to adjust the skew of the object.

Step 3: Saving and Downloading Your Meme

A) Saving:

  • Once you’re happy with your creation, click on the Save button located at the bottom right of the screen.

B) Downloading:

  • Click the Download button to save the meme to your device. You can choose the file format that best suits your needs.

Step 4: Posting your Meme

After saving or downloading your meme created, you will be able to post and publish it in the meme publisher section.
