Setting Browser Preferences - Sound, Microphone and Video is Not Working

Bit.Country can be accessed from any internet browser. Our dApp has been optimized to run through Chrome, Brave, Safari and Firefox. We recommend using these browsers for the best experience.

  • When you visit pioneer.bit.country for the first time o if you have recently cleared your browser history, you must set your browser preferences to give pioneer.bit.country permission to access your microphone and video.

Chrome Browser Settings

1) When you are in the Space and you click to join a meeting or Livestream, a popup will appear that lets you select your preferred camera and microphone.

Click Allow to give pioneer.bit.country access permission to your microphone and camera.

Check Microphone and Camera Settings

1) Click to open pioneer.bit.country in your Chrome browser and then click the lock symbol at the top left at the beginning of the URL, and your preferences will pop up.

2) Click the toggle ON to allow permission to the camera, microphone and sound.

You can see a small cross on the icon, meaning you have the camera, microphone, and sound turned OFF.

3) Refresh your browser page.

If you do not see Sound, Video and Sound Options Adjust via Site Settings

1) If you cannot see the camera, microphone and sound options, click Site Settings, and a new tab will open.

2) Click to open the Privacy and Security Settings. At the top, check to ensure you are on the site settings for pioneer.bit.country site. You can see the Permission settings for the microphone, video and sound.

3) Click the small white arrow to open the menu and set it to ALLOW the microphone, camera and sound.

4) Refresh your browser page.

In the far right of the URL, you can observe the speaker icon to see if you have set the permissions correctly.

1) Click the speaker/video/microphone icon to open the preferences menu.

2) Click to Always Allow on http://pioneer.bit.country and then click Done.

3) Refresh your browser page.

Brave Browser Settings

1) When you are in the Space and click to join a meeting or Livestream, a popup will appear that lets you select to give pioneer.bit.country access permission to your microphone and camera. Click OK to give pioneer.bit.country access permission to your camera and microphone.

Check Microphone and Camera Settings

1) Click to open pioneer.bit.country in your Brave browser and then click the lock symbol at the beginning of the URL, and your preferences will pop up.

2) Click on Site Settings, and a new tab with the site settings will open.

3) At the top, check the Site Settings for pioneer.bit.country and then go to the Privacy and Security tab, and you will be able to see the Permissions for camera, microphone and sound settings.

4) For each microphone, camera and sound, click the white arrow, and a menu will pop up. Set the preference to ALLOW.

4) Refresh your browser page.

Safari Browser Settings

1) When you are in the Space and you click to join a meeting or Livestream, a popup will appear that lets you give pioneer.bit.country access permission to your microphone and camera.

Click Allow to give permission to access your camera and microphone.

Check Microphone and Camera Settings

1) Click to open pioneer.bit.country in your Safari browser and then click the lock symbol in the top left at the beginning of the URL, and your preferences will pop up.

2) Click to open the Website tab and select either Camera, Microphone or screenshare in the side menu.

3) In the box, check that the site is pioneer.bit.country, and click the blue arrows to open the Menu. Select ALLOW camera access.

4) Refresh your browser page.

Firefox Browser Settings

1) When you are in the Space and you click to join a meeting or Livestream, a popup will appear that lets you select your preferred Microphone and video device.

2) Click OK to allow pioneer.bit.country permission to your microphone and camera.

Check Microphone and Camera Settings

1) Click to open pioneer.bit.country in your Firefox browser, and then in the top right, click the three lines at the end of the URL to open your preferences.

2) Click to open Settings.

3) In the side menu, click Privacy & Security to see the camera and microphone permissions.

4) Click on Settings for the Camera and the Microphone
